We are funded by IGP for a feasibility project - a new chapter of the 'PV-Trainer' begins!

We, the German Solar Energy Society (DGS) and Invisible Room, are excited to announce the launch of our joint funded project, PV-Trainer, supported by the 'Innovations program for business models and pioneer solutions' (Innovationsprogramm für Geschäftsmodelle und Pionierlösungen (IGP) of the German government as a feasibility project.
Why this project?
Solar energy is no longer an option; it is a key technology for the global energy transition. However, to meet increasing expansion targets worldwide, there is a pressing need for skilled professionals. The reality is that:
On-site training is time-consuming and costly.
Training content is often not standardized, making quality assurance difficult.
Practical experience is hard to convey, especially in large groups or when equipment is lacking.
Many young people overlook career opportunities in the PV sector.
With PV-Trainer, we aim to combine digital training with 3D content and virtual reality practice exercises on the web to sustainably transform training and education in the PV industry. The initial prototype, tested with the AHK in Argentina, already shows how practical, interactive, and effective this method is.
Our vision
Through this funded project, we aim to develop a business model that integrates digital and virtual training solutions into the educational sector – for trainees, career changers, and professionals in further education. We are leveraging WebXR technology, making access to our training even easier.
